Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of management finance and accounting for agencies operating in the Asia Pacific region. This includes month-end reporting; overseeing the P&L and balance sheet from subsidiary agencies based in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India and future regional jurisdictions; maintaining strong internal controls, statutory reporting, quarterly budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management; and consolidating the financial reports for regional reporting to the CFO.
Work with the Regional Managing Partner, and subsidiary agencies’ Managing Partners to initiate and monitor budgets, as well as improve profitability and cash flow. Lead a small team of accountants/ bookkeepers based in SG, HK, CN and India. Manage external vendors which provide financial-related services such as accounting, banking and auditing services
Primary Responsibilities
Set up and build strong financial and operational processes for agencies across APAC
Lead, plan and execute annual budgeting exercise for APAC
Ensure that weekly forecast is updated on a weekly basis (using our existing forecast system) to accurately reflect all confirmed business
Advice on budgeting and financial matters to the Managing Partners in charge of subsidiary agencies in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and India
Track the overall financial health of the agencies
Work closely with the APAC management team to deliver growth targets
Own financial budgeting, reporting procedures and deadlines
Lead a team of internal and external bookkeepers/accountants based in SG, HK, CN and India
Ensure subsidiary agencies’ financial documents are accurate and adhere to local financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
Consolidate accounts and deliver them to US parent in the required format
Ensure that all management reports are submitted on time
Provide accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting, with variance analysis and recommendations
Handle cash management, client collections and banking duties
Role Specific Skills/Attributes To excel in this role, you will possess:
Degree in accountancy or ACCA with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar function
Understand financial, regulatory and compliance requirements for Singapore, Hong Kong, China and India
Proven managerial experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential
Familiarity with NetSuite a plus
