FINN Partners specializes in public relations strategies and fully integrated creative communications campaigns for clients across a wide variety of industry sectors. For this role, we are focused on finding someone who is experienced and interested in one or more of the following areas: food and beverage, sustainability, real estate, travel, hospitality and/or lifestyle.
The Account Supervisor will be based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. This is a hybrid work schedule role, working 1 day in the office, and 4 days remotely each week. Candidates who reside in South Florida will be considered. In-state travel will be required on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
● Support development of strategic communications plans, implement and deliver results
● Draft and/or review and finalize written materials including pitches and press releases
● Manage and execute day-to-day media relations including print, digital and broadcast media outreach, requests and opportunities
● Oversee all administrative duties for clients, including project reporting and metric/measurement reporting, agendas, etc.
● Delegate and supervise projects as assigned to account coordinators/executives
● Newsjacking and proactively identifying and presenting timely earned media relations opportunities tied to cultural trends
● Manage client relations, understanding client goals across public relations and social media disciplines
● Account and team management support, thinking integrated: PR, influencer, and social ideas working together
Requirements:
● Minimum of 5 years of public relations/communications experience, agency preferred
● Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or marketing
● Previous experience overseeing multiple client accounts or similar job functions
● Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
● Ability to supervise and motivate account staff
● Effective client and team communication
● A proactive mindset; anticipating problems and solutions, a go-getter attitude
● Knowledge of current media landscape, including staying up to date with major client industry news, trends and trending topics
● Driven and motivated to go above and beyond for their teammates and clients day in and day out; a true team player, supportive of collective goals
● Detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
● Strong project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
● Strong organizational skills and the agility needed to thrive in fast-paced environments
● Comprehension of the financial aspects of the business
● Ability to think creatively
● Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations and pitches to clients, including new business pitches
● Proficient with tracking and measurement tools
● Experience with PR reporting tools such as: Muck Rack, Meltwater, etc.
