Senior Account Executive - Gaming and Consumer

Finn Partners is looking for a resourceful consumer Senior Account Executive (SAE) for its growing office. Candidates should have at least 2 years of agency or in-house experience with working with gaming, consumer technology and lifestyle PR, excellent media and influencer relationships and a proven ability to organise and manage multiple small or medium-sized projects/tasks simultaneously. The position would suit a well-rounded AE looking for their first step up to an SAE role.

This position is to work on video game and consumer brand accounts, so applicants will need to have previous experience within both spheres plus a broad understanding of current and emerging consumer trends. For example, from video game rumours to forecasting the next big blockbuster or even the hype around Stanley cups!

The successful candidate will serve as a point of contact for clients and handle day-to-day activities on their accounts to ensure delivery of high-quality work that meet or exceed client goals. The SAE will be highly organised and experienced at utilising reporting tools and familiar with standard workflow documents and coordinating cross European campaigns with guidance from the account lead. Beyond this, the SAE will be a team player who will help conceive creative ideas and/or strategies that utilise traditional and digital/social media, help develop client content, including media materials, online content, media pitches, influencer outreach, event management and support with new business briefs where necessary.

The role will work in FINN Partners consumer team in London.  This team is an industry leading consumer PR team working with high profile gaming, retail and consumer brands across fashion, food, drink, beauty, home, and consumer tech.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Secure high-profile national, local print, online and broadcast coverage for clients
  • Ensure client and media deliverables are high-quality and error-free
  • Develop and implement media relations strategies, goals, targets, and pitch angles that require minimum input from senior colleagues
  • Contribute to creation of communications strategies and tactics that meet client objectives.
  • Creating reporting templates and ensuring deadlines for all client reporting requirements are met
  • Building relationships with key media targets in the video game and consumer space
  • Be a team player
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications between Finn offices in Europe, agency partners, client partners and our main UK account team
Skills and Experience
  • Has around 2 years’ experience with consumer media relations, particularly video game, consumer technology and lifestyle journalists
  • Consistently produces clear, concise, and engaging copy/content and can self-edit client and media deliverables
  • Has their finger on the pulse of the news cycle and can identify trends and deliver informed POV’s to clients
  • Is a self-motivated individual with a passion for and deep knowledge of PR and social media
  • Has proven ability to handle and manage work within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Is organized and possesses the time management skills to stay on top of projects and multiple deadlines
  • Possesses the ability to help develop and execute creative strategy across traditional and social media platforms
Educational background
Degree with classification of 2:1 or higher
